In the framework of the working visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine in Ternopil region Volodymyr Groysman visited Skoryky village, where he presented the certificates and keys from school buses the principals of secondary educational institutions of the region.
"Such buses should be in each school, where we teach our children", stressed the Head of Government.
He told that "these buses were purchased due to decentralization, as we have changed the funding system".
"Decentralization is an opportunity that we are using today," said the Prime Minister.
Volodymyr Groysman noted that Ternopil region is the leader in the process of consolidation of territorial communities. There have been already created 26 consolidated communities in the area, another 10 are involved in the integration process. Currently the region possesses hundreds of millions of additional revenues to local budgets.
"In fact, a half of the territory of the region will have all the necessary tools for their development", told the Head of Government.
Background
For the
funds of the State budget in 2016 Ternopil regional
state administration bought 9 buses to the tune of UAH 14.16 mln.
On
conditions of co-financing (70/30%) there have been purchased 32 buses. In
particular, the sum worth UAH 36 million is an education subvention and UAH 16.8
million was transferred from local budgets.
Today 13
schools will get buses.
