Prime Minister: I am looking forward to the formation of fair prices for medicines in Ukraine from January 1

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects that all participants of the pharmaceutical market will establish fair prices for medicines in Ukraine from 1 January after the Government adopted decisions enabling to do it.

"I expect that from January 1 all those involved in the pharmaceutical industry, will start forming fair prices for medicines in the country", stressed the Prime Minister, opening a Government meeting on Wednesday.

"All the legislation has been adopted, all instructions signed, it is just necessary to develop an objective approach and to reduce the real price for drugs, as there are all grounds for that," said Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister reminded that the Government had endorsed a number of decisions that will make it possible to change the pricing for medicines in the country, in particular, introduced a system of setting the prices and a mechanism of reimbursement for drugs from cardiovascular disease, diabetes type II and bronchial asthma from 1 January 2017.
