Hungary decided to grant national visas to Ukrainian citizens for free. This was stated by Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán following his meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"Hungary made a decision that D type visa will be issued to Ukrainian citizens free of charge", explained Viktor Orbán.

The Head of Ukrainian Government thanked the Prime Minister of Hungary for the decision on granting of national visas for Ukrainian citizens for free.

"I believe that this announcement you’ve made today in the framework of our visit will be well accepted by Ukrainian citizens. And I want to assure you that you have a reliable partner - Ukraine. We have demonstrated support and will continue supporting Hungary in those matters where necessary", said Volodymyr Groysman.

Prime Minister of Hungary also called on the Head of the Ukrainian Government to consider a possibility of providing by Ukraine similar opportunities for Hungarian citizens on a parity basis.
