Part of funds envisaged by the Government in the draft 2017 Budget for the establishment of Energy Efficiency Fund to the tune of UAH 400 million may be directed to the Warm Loan Program. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with representatives of civil society.

"In fact we divided UAH 800 million into 400 and 400. We believe that the Energy Efficiency Fund will appear - the Parliament will support it. As a result, it will open up an opportunity - the European Commission will grant for this Fund up to EUR 100 million. The only condition is to elaborate this bill in synergy", said the Head of Government.

If something changes, the sum worth UAH 400 million will be sent to payment of ‘warm loans’, according to the Prime Minister.

He noted that on the Government's initiative this program had been extended twice. "I consider it should be prolonged, it is popular," added Volodymyr Groysman.

"If we have UAH 400 million in the first quarter, UAH 800 – in half a year, basing on half-year’s results we must develop a plan to extend this loan," explained the Head of Government.
