http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifA housing subsidy implies the mechanism of non-repayable targeted compensation by the State for expenses of citizens on payment of housing and communal services bills and do not require a refund. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced at the conference call dedicated to considering the progress of implementation of the housing subsidy programme on Tuesday.

Regarding grants for reimbursement for housing and communal services, the Head of Government noted that unscrupulous politicians were spreading false rumors that the citizens would allegedly have to repay the granted costs, or that the Government’s increase of the minimum wage up to UAH 3200 would affect the eligibility for housing subsidy program benefits.

"Ukrainian citizens should understand that part of the money is paid by the state as a specific compensation for a particular Ukrainian family", said the Prime Minister.

Thus, for the majority of the citizens of Ukraine the bills for housing and communal services as compared to last year will not change, on the contrary, in certain cases will even be reduced, explained Volodymyr Groysman, adding all those trying to profit from this situation should think about people first.
