The Government has calculated the volume of deforestation in Ukraine and pass on this information to law enforcement bodies so that perpetrators of mass felling in Ukrainian forests were punished. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the opening a Government meeting on Wednesday.

"We’ve calculated, in what a forest district, how many woods were cut down, and we'll pose the question to law enforcement bodies to calculate the loss to the state. And if violations are found to initiate criminal proceedings", Volodymyr Groysman said.

The PM said that the Government has prepared an interactive forests map of the country.
