
Ukrainian and Romanian Ministers of Defence sign Joint Statement on defence cooperation development
Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and Minister of National Defence of Romania Mr Mihnea Motoc held a meeting to continue a dialog and define the present and prospects of defence cooperation and signed a Joint Statement.
The Statement says the defence ministers reaffirmed allegiance of Ukraine and Romania to fundamental principles of international law, respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and integrity of their borders.
Heads of delegations confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation in spheres of mutual interest such as:
Joint participation in multinational projects;
Joint participation in troops training;
Cooperation in education and specialized training;
Cooperation in military medical sphere; and
Military and technical cooperation.
The parties have agreed to continue dialog at the level of Defence Ministers of Ukraine and Romania concerning bilateral defence cooperation in 2017.
