The Government has set a task to promote leveraging of investment into the country and to make it successful, thereby encouraging job creation and production of high-quality competitive national product. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in his conversation with journalists following his participation in a ceremony of putting in operation of the construction of pulverized coal injection system at Blast Furnace #9 in Kryvyi Rih.

"Our current objective is to support leveraging investment in the country, to ensure their efficiency. These investments will provide the Ukrainians with jobs and enable manufacturing a quality competitive product", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister noted that the substitution of gas with coal dust in the production process carried out in the enterprise allows save annually over 100 million cubic meters of imported natural gas. This technology corresponds to the state strategy to achieve complete energy independence, he highlighted.

"This is an absolutely efficient way to reach energy independence, to upgrade facilities and enhance competitiveness", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih leadership is planning to invest in the national economy USD 1.5 billion through 2015 - 2020, informed the Head of Government. New financial flows into the enterprise will be directed on technical re-equipment, the solution of environmental problems. This means that market competition will be rather intense, while people will have stable jobs, he said.

Also, the company intends over the nearest years to reduce the consumption of imported natural gas by 80%, stressed the Prime Minister.

"All this is fully consistent with our strategy, and I believe that we should support this movement and do our utmost to ensure success of each investment. If investment is efficient, new markets will be conquered, people will have new jobs and receive wages”, said the Head of Government.

In the framework of his working visit to Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions on Wednesday, Volodymyr Groysman participated in the solemn ceremony of putting in operation of the construction of pulverized coal injection system and got familiarized with operation of Blast Furnace #9 of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
