  • Volodymyr Groysman demands to timely finalize preparation for the autumn-winter heating period

    A complex of measures on the preparation of the country for the autumn-winter heating period should be completed timely. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on Wednesday, September 28 during a meeting on consideration of problematic issues in the energy sector and the progress in implementation of measures to gear up fuel and energy complex for the autumn-winter period of 2016-2017.

    "The full range of measures planned to ensure the country's preparation for the autumn-winter period must be completed without delays", urged Volodymyr Groysman at the meeting.

    The Head of Government noted that we have only three weeks running up to the start of the heating season. During this time, it is vital to finalize “a set of tasks to avoid people feel any discomfort in everyday life".

    In particular, it is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted utility services, cold and hot water delivery, high quality operation of railway transport, the Head of the Government accentuated.

    Moreover, he stressed the importance of proper operation of the social protection system.

    "I’d really like us to ensure, in case of adverse weather conditions, cleanup the streets and sidewalks, and delivery of electricity and heating to the flats", said Volodymyr Groysman.
