  • Prime Minister calls on MPs to submit proposals regarding Budget 2017 to ensure its timely adoption

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman urges MPs of Ukraine to submit to the Government propositions on the State Budget for 2017, thereby ensuring its timely adoption. The Head of the Government said on opening a Government meeting on Tuesday.

    "I hope that MPs will make the necessary proposals to the Government so that we could finalize the process. I'd really like us to adopt a balanced Budget within the determined by the law terms, on time, and that means that we will enter 2017 according to the plan", said Volodymyr Groysman.

    The Prime Minister stressed that it is crucial to ensure in the budgeting process the interaction of Ministers and Ministries with the relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

    In this context, he called on Ministers to participate in the meetings of the Parliament’s committees to discuss the State Budget of Ukraine.

    In addition, the Prime Minister urged the Ministries to engage in budget review with the representatives of trade unions and experts.

    "I'd like to ensure this process holding in each Ministry. Just invite experts, discuss, get feedback. This is extremely important," he emphasized.
