While budgeting it is necessary to plan for the medium term instead of planning for just one year, therefore it is possible to blueprint the expenditure for changes and projects for a longer period. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with regional media on Monday.

"We should move on from planning for one year to a medium term of at least three years. It is also significant from the point of view of planning, including local planning”, said Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister noted that year the Government had made forecast for several years to come from the point of view of economic growth and other showings.

Volodymyr Groysman also noted that due to financial decentralization, local budgets can be adopted before the State budget. "It is also a step forward to increase the powers of local authorities", he said.
