  • Prime Minister believes the Parliament and Government to consolidate efforts to adopt 2017 State Budget

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman is looking forward to the constructive dialogue and a consolidated position of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Government regarding the State Budget for 2017.

    "I believe that we will find accord between the Parliament and the Government in order to adopt in the terms which were fixed the State Budget for 2017", said Volodymyr Groysman during the Government meeting on Thursday.

    The Prime Minister reminded that the previous day, according to regulations, the Government had presented “a draft of an honest Budget for 2017" at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. "I think the presentation and the discussion were quite productive", commented Volodymyr Groysman.

    The Head of Government urged ministers, namely Minister or Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine, to participate in meetings of line committees of the Verkhovna Rada, which will afford to engage in maximally constructive dialogue with MPs around the draft State budget.

    "It is very important that the budget process within the Parliament accompanied by the relevant Ministers. I would ask that each of you took part in the meeting of all relevant committees, including talking about the consideration of the draft State budget for 2017", said Volodymyr Groysman.

    The Prime Minister urged politicians not to put the process of creating the State budget on a show, adding they will not let it happen.
