Ukraine has reliable partners - the Visegrad Four countries and must strengthen cooperation with them. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at the Government session on Thursday.
"The countries of the Visegrad Group are trustworthy partners and we should enhance our collaboration with them", said Volodymyr Groysman commenting on the results of his official visit to Krynica Zdrój, Poland.
"Absolutely everyone is interested, everyone understands the key role of Ukraine in the area. And our task is to reinforce our interaction and cooperation that our work be meaningful", he stressed.
The Prime Minister reminded that on 6-7 September he had had a working trip to Poland and held joint and bilateral meetings with heads of government of member countries of Visegrad Four.
Volodymyr Groysman stressed that Ukraine has a huge potential for developing cooperation with the countries of the Visegrad Group, notably border and infrastructure cooperation, energy and economic sectors.
Apart from that, there are also a number of environmental projects that can be implemented with support of foreign partners, he said.
The Head of
Government told that the meetings with Prime Minister of Poland Beata Szydło, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, Prime
Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán concerned cooperation in infrastructure and
energy domains.
Volodymyr Groysman highlighted a peculiar role of Slovakia in strengthening energy independence of Ukraine and the supply of gas through the Slovak territory to Ukraine.
"In
the near future I will charge to enhance this work the Ministry of Infrastructure,
the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural
Resources of Ukraine", he said.
