Volodymyr Groysman: Irresponsible policy of populists is destroying the national economy
Irresponsible
policy of populists and idle talks are destroying the national economy and lead
to a permanent deterioration in the quality of life of Ukrainian citizens. This
was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman while opening the Government meeting on Wednesday.
"Not
much difference for them [the populists] what happens to Ukraine in a year,
two, three, five, ten years. The only thing that matters to them is where they
are at the moment, what sort of posts, what kind of
rating they have. But, as we see, it is absolutely irresponsible policy that
destroys the national economy and, in principle, it permanently impairs the
quality of life of Ukrainian citizens," Volodymyr
Groysman said.
"Now
it is time to stop populist slogans to fool people," he said.
The PM
stressed that the task of the Government is to tell openly and honestly what is
happening and explain people about the decisions that we need to take so that the
country begins to develop.
The Head of
the Government noted that today, perhaps changes have not given a perceptible
result because it is difficult to solve the problems that have been
accumulating for decades.
"But
we can stabilize the situation and ensure the development of the country. This
is a major priority. I sincerely believe that we will succeed because we
believe in what we're doing, this should yield a corresponding result for every
Ukrainian family," Volodymyr Groysman said.
"I'd
like we have made absolutely clear conclusions from 25 years of our
independence, and the next 25 years were years of success. And our citizens will
have quality jobs, quality education, quality safety, quality health care,
better living conditions. This is one of our most important priorities," PM stressed.
