Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman invited Co-Chairs of the Group of Strategic Advisors on the Support for Reforms in Ukraine Leszek Balcerowicz and Ivan Mikloš to join the activities to develop a Government’s package of draft laws which should be prepared by the beginning of a new session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and is aimed at ensuring economic boost of the country.
Opening the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Monday, Volodymyr Groysman noted that in the framework of 2016 Plan of Top Priority Steps for the Government a certain package of legislative initiatives was being worked out, which the Government would submit to the Parliament.
"I appealed to our strategic advisors, Mr. Balcerowicz and Mr. Mikloš, with a request to join this work and to offer initiatives and proposals regarding necessary legislative changes which may be included in the Governmental package by the start of work of the Ukrainian Parliament", said Volodymyr Groysman. The Prime Minister said that among the bills which the
Government was drafting there should be a package of acts aimed at ensuring
the economic growth in the country. Today, there are certain positive signals in the national economy development, but the growth is insufficient, and we need to advance faster to ensure deeper improvement." The Prime Minister also urged Ministers to engage in the work on the development of such package of bills and together with the Group of Strategic Advisors to determine issues that require general coordination "to make this package as complete as possible". |
