  • Stepan Poltorak holds talks with Georgian Chief of General Staff

    Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Vakhtang Kapanadze.

    The parties shared views concerning policy conducted by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and Georgia and in the world as whole.

    Stepan Poltorak thanked the Georgian people for support.

    “We strive to develop our cooperation between defence ministries and have common stance as Ukraine and Georgia are a security belt for European countries,” Stepan Poltorak stressed.

    The minister also mentioned the necessity to share experience, particularly, in the context of new knowledge gained by the Ukrainian army during combat operations in the east of Ukraine.

    Maj. Gen. Vakhtang Kapanadze praised the ongoing reforms of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
