Stepan Poltorak: We have launched a large-scale reform to restore combat potential and increase the power of the Navy
General
of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Defence
of Ukraine, congratulated servicemen, public servants and veterans
of the fleet on the Day of the Ukrainian Navy.
“The
Ukrainian fleet is an integral part of the national Armed
Forces, the Ukrainian sailors has been taking part in operations
in the east of Ukraine since first days. More than 5,000 servicemen,
including mobilized, from the Ukrainian Navy have participated in these
operations. 154 servicemen got state awards, more than 750 servicemen got
awards of the Ministry of Defence
of Ukraine,” the minister said.
“We have
launched a large-scale reform to restore combat potential and
increase the power of the Navy,” Stepan Poltorak stressed,
“Ukraine was, is and will be a naval state!”
The
Minister wished health, happiness and wellness to servicemen, public
servants and veterans and their families.
