Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with the Ambassadors of the Visegrad Group countries
on Wednesday, June 8. The
meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland
to Ukraine Henryk Litvin, Charge d'Affaires of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine
Heinrich Sasai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to
Ukraine Erno Keshken and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech
Republic to Ukraine Ivan Počuch. The
sides discussed the aspects of enhancing cooperation and the Government's plans
regarding the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.
Volodymyr
Groysman informed that the Government was committed to carrying out reforms. He
recalled that recently the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a Plan of
priority actions by the end of 2016, which defines the priorities for its
activities.
In particular, the
Government will focus on achieving macroeconomic stability and creating
conditions for the sustainable economic growth, promoting the improvement of
the business environment, carrying out judicial reform, combating corruption
and improving the quality of governance. Also
among the important areas of the Government’s work - civil service reform,
deregulation, public privatization and competitive appointment of the management
of state-owned enterprises. We
will see soon the completion of reorganization of the controlling structures
and the launch of the e- Declaration of income and assets of officials.
One of the key reforms the Government is working on is the reform of the Customs Service of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman noted. In this context, he called for exchange of information on movement of goods between the customs authorities of the countries.
