Volodymyr Groysman instructed to create a working group for developing tax reform

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has instructed to create a working group to develop a draft law on tax reform in synergy with Head of the parliamentary Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy Nina Yuzhanina, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov and experts.

The first meeting of the working group on developing tax reform is going to take place on Thursday, June 9.

The relevant order Volodymyr Groysman gave following the results of the meeting over the issue of tax reform, which took place on Monday 6 June. The meeting was attended by Head of the parliamentary Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy Nina Yuzhanina, Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk, Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov, Deputy Minister of Finance Evhenii Kapinus, First Deputy Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Serhii Bilan.

The participants discussed the current problems in the tax sphere, ways of improving the system of tax administration, as well as reducing pressure of controlling bodies on the business.

Volodymyr Groysman emphasized the need to return to the development and implementation of tax reform in the country. According to him, amendments to tax laws should be stable and predictable for business.

"We have to work out approaches to tax reform of high quality as well as to implement it as soon as possible. These changes should be adopted so that, on the one hand, both the state and business have enough time to prepare for their implementation, on the other hand, it is necessary to impose a moratorium on any changes in tax legislation for 3 to 5 years. It will give businesses necessary predictability," he emphasized.
