Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
together with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took
part in the ceremony of signing the Declaration of Intent and the Agreement on Loan
Guarantees between Ukraine and the United States on Friday, June 3.
The Prime
Minister noted that the most important task the Government facing today is to
ensure macroeconomic stability as well as create conditions for the sustainable
economic growth. According
to him, the decision of the United States as to allocation of financial aid instills us with optimism about the necessary changes to be made in the country.
"The fact
that we have the support of the United States both for the implementation of
deep structural reforms and financial support gives us confidence that we are
following the right path," pointed out Volodymyr
Groysman.
The Prime
Minister thanked the United States for their cooperation and support to Ukraine.
"It
is essential to use efficiently the time we have for carrying out reforms. We
understand this, he noted. The Government intends to conduct rapid reforms and changes.
We are committed to these reforms."
Volodymyr Groysman recalled that on Thursday the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine adopted constitutional amendments that
would ensure the reform of justice in the country and reboot of the judicial
branch.
"Yesterday
was a great victory of the modern European Ukraine and the launch of extremely important
judicial reform, constitutional changes. I think, as the President said today, that
after the election of the President, re-election of the Verkhovna
Rada, updates of Governments, now it is time to reboot
the third branch, judicial one, which will provide an opportunity to return confidence
in this government, as well as to ensure justice, what Ukrainian citizens so
yearn for," emphasized Volodymyr Groysman.
On behalf
of Ukraine, the documents were signed by Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk. On behalf of
the United States, the documents were signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the USA to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt and Acting director of the United States
