The Government is committed to adopt all necessary decisions in order to improve the situation within the country and will be honest with the citizens, avoiding populism. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at a meeting of the National Council of Reforms under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday, May 25.

"I always said and want to reiterate: a populist and populism in general – it means when people want to make everyone happy without their participation, or promise a lot and do nothing – is what ruins our statehood, destroys the opportunities of people to live a normal life", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

According to him, throughout the independence years in Ukraine rather inefficient policy based on populism has been pursued, and it still remains one of the main problems of the country in complex with turmoil in the economy and security.

"We represent an absolutely different approach, I am talking on behalf of the entire Government, the entire Cabinet, our team. We will do entirely appropriate things, we will tell people the truth and we will do everything to lead the country out of the situation, in which we occurred to be today, within the powers of the Government", said the Prime Minister.
