The Government has
worked out the necessary decisions concerning the implementation and updating of
Ukrainian customs, as well as its technical re-equipment. Prime
Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
stated this during an Hour of Questions to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on
Friday, May 20.
"The customs
system of Ukraine will be updated, customs will be upgraded technically. We
have made a decision on this matter and we understand how and from which sources
we will do this despite all impediments. And together with you we will put
things in order at Ukrainian customs," said Volodymyr Groysman.
Commenting on the
information provided by a MP of Ukraine on abuses at Kyiv regional customs, Volodymyr Groysman noted that
these materials should be assessed by law enforcement agencies.
"I will send
today your materials with my appeal to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, to
the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and, according to the results of this
investigation, I am ready to accept any decision within the competence of the
Government," he pointed out.
