Ukraine and Turkey adopted cooperation program in the field of technical regulation

Ukraine intensifies cooperation with Turkey in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and consumer protection. A program of implementation of the relevant Memorandum, concluded between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, has been signed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maksym Nefyodov.

The program is designed for implementation within 2016-18 years and is aimed at further development of cooperation with Turkey in the field of technical regulation. It is about cooperation between organizations specialized in the field of metrology and its expansion in the framework of participation in international and European organizations for standardization.

Ukrainian and Turkish experts have agreed to exchange information about laws and regulations in the area of this area in order to eliminate unnecessary barriers to trade. It is also planned to establish an exchange of experience in the safety inspection of products for export and import.
