“We’ll have
completed the reform of the Ukrainian GS by the end of 2019
and have implemented the NATO standards,” Lt. Gen. Oleksandr
Dublyan, Deputy Minister of Defence —
Head of Administration, stressed during the ‘direct telephone line’
of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
He said
that in 2016-2017 there would be conducted the management
reorganization in the Main Personnel Directorate (J1), Main Department
of Defence and Mobilization Planning of the
General Staff (J5), Main Logistics Directorate (J4) and Main Training
Directorate (J7). The Special Operations Command will achieve its full
capabilities. By the end of 2018, the Logistics Command will have
been formed.
According
to him, the result of reforms will be more efficient and
balanced structure of the General Staff of the Armed Forces
of Ukraine.
