Ihor Dolhov holds meeting with Defence attaches accredited in Ukraine and NATO Liaison Office Director

Ihor Dolhov, the Deputy Minister of Defence for European Integration, held a meeting with Defence attachés at the U.S., Canadian, the UK, Lithuanian, Polish Embassies and Director of the NATO Liaison Office.

Mr. Dolhov told about military political situation in the east of Ukraine, particularly, about the peace process in the temporarily occupied territories and execution of the Minsk agreements.

“Unfortunately, the situation in the east of Ukraine escalates. The Ukrainian party does not see that the occupants wish to achieve progress in Donbas peace process,” Mr. Dolhov remarked.

The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of the OSCE police mission in the east of Ukraine.

He thanked attachés for assistance provided by the governments of their countries in training of the Ukrainian servicemen and underlined the necessity of development of the joint training mission.

The parties also discussed the issues of cooperation in the context of preparation to the NATO-Ukraine commission meeting and the Warsaw NATO Summit.
