Ukraine and Denmark possess
a great potential to develop bilateral cooperation, in particular in the
economic sphere and business issues. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman announced to media following his meeting with the Prime Minister of
Denmark Lars Rasmussen on Tuesday, April 19.
"I believe that
this meeting will become the beginning, will prolong in the future and deepen
our mutual bilateral cooperation. I think our bipartite ties have great
potential for development", said Volodymyr Groysman.
The Head of Government emphasized that it is the first official visit of
the Prime Minister of Denmark to Ukraine. According to him, the meeting was
very substantive. Thus, the parties discussed future development of bilateral
relations, the problems in the Ukrainian economy and the measures to be taken in
order to facilitate doing business in Ukraine, in particular, deregulation
process.
"I am pleased to note that the Danish entrepreneurs are eager to invest
in recycling, to create new jobs, which is crucial," he stressed.
Volodymyr Groysman accentuated that the European and Euro-Atlantic
integration of Ukraine, as well as the implementation of reforms remain among
the top priorities of the Government activity.
Moreover, the Prime Minister thanked Denmark for the consistent support for
Ukraine, its sovereignty and independence, as well as the condemnation of
Russian aggression.
In turn, Prime Minister of Denmark commended the commitment of the
Ukrainian Government to prolong the implementation of reforms and cooperation
with the International Monetary Fund. Lars Rasmussen pledged the support of
Denmark for Ukraine in the process of implementation of reforms within the
country. "I am confident that this friendship with the new Government will
continue. We have hopes and expectations in this regard", he said.
