During the Anakonda-16 multinational exercise to be conducted in June this year the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade will deploy an operational Headquarters in Nowa Dęba training area and take the designated affiliated units under its command.
Such a role of the Multinational Brigade was specified during the Final Coordination Conference regarding the exercise, which was held last week in Warsaw.
According to Major Adam Pańczyk, LITPOLUKRBRIG Chief S-3 section, taking part in Anakonda -16 will ensure interoperability of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade with current and potential partners. Together the participants will work out possible mission command issues including computer network and communications interoperability.
“Anakonda is a great possibility for us to interact with militaries from 24 nations and begin our integration building and maintenance activities. This is our investment into increasing professional proficiency, building trust and understanding between participating militaries,” stated Lieutenant Colonel Michał Małyska, LITPOLUKRBRIG Deputy Chief of Staff.
The Anakonda -16 military exercise conducted simultaneously across Poland will involve participants from 24 nations, including Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
