Introductory statement by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the presentation of the Action Program of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
All of us realize what challenges Ukraine is facing and what hardships our people
are experiencing these days.
From the Government that was formed today people expect, first of all, a responsible
policy, action that would allow resolving the crisis in Ukraine.
But these steps that we should start promptly, apart from just solving urgent
problems must lay the basis for our future development. And this is possible
only through profound reforms which prove necessary in each area of our life.
To lead the country out of
crises and to ensure the
effective continuation of reforms – these are two key objectives the new Government has set.
Our goal is to make transformation
of Ukraine into a modern European state irreversible and to lay the foundations
for sustainable economic growth.

In its activities, the new Government will be guided by the basic
strategic documents, which define the main guidelines in our path of European
development: • Strategy of Ukraine - 2020 • The coalition agreement, which was prepared and signed in 2014 by all
five factions that had formed the European Ukraine coalition • The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union • Strategic documents signed with our international partners • The plan of legislative support of reforms that was approved in this assembly
hall in the past year. All these are core documents that specify what we must do on the path
of European transformation. And today the question is not about creating new nice
documents – the question is about the implementation of those programs that
have already been elaborated. Therefore our program is based on the Coalition agreement and contains the
main objectives of it. At the same time, we assume the commitment throughout a month, on the
basis of a detailed situation analysis, to develop and present a clear anti-crisis
action plan that determines in details on a monthly basis what results we should
achieve by the end of year and what showings will indicate the stages of the implementation
of this plan. We accept the commitments by the end of year to prepare a plan of development
of the country for the medium term. |
