The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its deep concern over the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and sends its condolences to the relatives of those who perished or were wounded in the battle actions.

Ukraine calls upon all parties and international community, foremost the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, to pursue all necessary measures for immediate ceasefire, de-escalation of the conflict and continuation of the peaceful resolution of the conflict, based on the fundamental principles and norms of the international law.

The current situation proves that protracted conflicts remain a major factor of instability and security threats for the OSCE region and can break out at any moment, leading to the full-scale combat actions and large human losses.

Ukraine supports a sustainable political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, based on full respect of the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders.
