"This year
the state will procure all the drugs through the United Nations and British company
Crown Agents. This
makes up almost 4 billion hryvnias," Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
emphasised in the Ten Minutes program on Sunday, January
17.
"International
monitoring will prevent Ukrainian pharmaceutical mafia from stealing the money,
while the state will be able to purchase more drugs of good quality,"
stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The Prime
Minister noted that last year thanks to ProZorro e-procurement
system, which worked in an experimental mode, Ukraine’s medical facilities saved
more than 16% or UAH11 million.
"We expect
even more savings and more efficient spending of the budget from the international
organizations," underlined Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
