According
to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the forming of tariffs for heat
supply is linked to outside temperature. District heating companies must be
aware that they won’t be able to shift their expenses to the pockets of the
citizens of the country, stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
at a Government meeting on Wednesday, January 13.
Arseniy
Yatsenyuk appealed to Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development,
Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii
Zubko with a request to hold a teleconference with
the district heating providers: "Explain to them that gas should be saved,
while the bills ought to include only payment for the citizens have their
apartments heated".
He
also stressed that he had seen the bills already sent to the citizens "those
not compliant with applicable law and containing additional costs for the
delivery of natural gas included by any regional gas companies, which are not
envisaged by the existing legislation".
Arseniy
Yatsenyuk instructed the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to check the legal grounds
of the relevant decision of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory
Commission.
