Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed the State Fiscal Service, Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry to check the situation concerning Ukrenergo’s refusal to make advance payments for transformers: "As I understand, Russian oligarchs decided once again to improve their situation using the Ukrainian budget, " the Prime Minister said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, 13 January.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined that information on Ukrenergo’s refusal to make advance payments for the transformers was published and it seems to suit Mr. Hrihorishin, who is the owner of Zaporizhtransformator.

The issue was raised by Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov at the meeting of the Government. He called the corresponding decision made by Ukrenergo "protectionist actions towards Zaporizhtransformator":"Conditions have been changed by UAH 2 billion in favor of Hrihorishin. I think that the way it looks like, it might be a crime."

"Taking into account that the head of Ukrenergo is a person related to Mr. Hrihorishin, it looks very disgusting," emphasised the Minister.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk pointed out: "As I understand, the Russian oligarchs decided once again to improve their situation using the Ukrainian budget."

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, State Fiscal Service, Ministry of Interior Affairs and the National Police to check the facts, and in case of offenses - to institute criminal proceedings.
