The result for now is heat loans have been issued at UAH 1 billion, thus 20 to 60% of the amount is compensated by the state. The
Government
of Ukraine considers a possibility to increase volumes of financing loans for energy
efficiency, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a meeting of the
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday, 11 November.
"60
thousand households have received monetary assistance for the insulation
of their homes, the replacement of boilers. And there have already been issued
initial credits for condominiums when residents of a building decide to hold insulation and energy modernization", explained the Head of
Government.
Moreover, Arseniy
Yatsenyuk informed
that throughout 9
months of 2015
the volumes
of natural gas consumption in Ukraine had fallen by 19% as compared to last year: "We
have
saved
19% of natural gas. It is worth billions".
"It has proved possible due to the fact that we reformed the gas
sector, introduced market rates
at the first stage, provided the most
extensive program of subsidies and launched an energy efficiency
programme", he stressed, adding that presently 4.1 million households
obtain subsidies from the Ukrainian state.
"We aren’t going to
burn money for ineffective use of energy resource. We will
continue to upgrade our homes, to insulate, change boilers,
consume less gas, pay less for it and help those who need help, instead of
those who warm their swimming pools and houses
with an area of 1.5-2 thousand square meters with gas.
This is called social justice. And it
is an invariable Government policy",
said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
