Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed to send a governmental commission to the regions which "flubbed" the process of assigning subsidies
Intentional
delay to assign subsidies demonstrated by certain government authorities, some city mayors and heads of regions
means
they deprive citizens of a direct assistance to
reduce bills for heating and utilities, announced Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a
Government meeting on Wednesday, November 4.
He
reminded that already 4
million Ukrainian families had obtained the mentioned financial assistance: "Practically
each third Ukrainian citizen receives direct
financial aid
from the Ukrainian state".
"The
amount of subsidies currently received by the Ukrainian citizens greatly helps and compensates for the expenses of households
connected with the change
of tariffs, for those who need that", stressed the Head of Government.
The
Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko informed that the worst performance in the assigning of subsidies is demonstrated
by
Odessa region – about 40%. Low showings are in Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia and Luhansk regions.
The Prime Minister
instructed to immediately forward to these areas a
government commission to accelerate the process of
obtaining subsidies.
