On Thursday, 24
September, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk
met with EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Vĕra Jourová, who is on her working visit in Kyiv.
The Prime
Minister of Ukraine has expressed his appreciation for the strong support of
our country by the European Union in reforming the justice sector, law
enforcement as well as judicial system.
The EU
Commissioner has expressed steadfast support for the Government of Ukraine to
address the most urgent tasks in the field of anti-corruption policy, full-scale
reform of the judiciary, law enforcement and assured of the willingness of the
European Union to the closest cooperation in these areas.
During the
meeting special attention was paid to the empowerment of opportunities to attract
appropriate financial and expert assistance from the EU.
