"To hold completely
illegal elections in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk
regions is the decision that has been upheld not by Russia-led terrorists but by
the Kremlin. This
is a clear signal that President Putin does not intend to fulfill the Minsk
agreements," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined at a meeting with the delegation of
the Political and Security Committee of the European Union on Wednesday, 16
September.
The Prime
Minister of Ukraine said that a few hours ago, "Russian terrorists
announced the holding of so-called elections for 18 October": "This
is absolutely illegitimate and a flagrant breach of the Minsk process."
On the eve of the
session of the UN General Assembly, the Ukraine’s Prime Minister stressed,
President Putin is endeavouring to show its goodwill
in the implementation of the Minsk deal, "but Russia deliberately delays
the implementation process."
"There are Putin’s fingerprints on this agreement. We all have to show strong and joint actions against Russian aggression and Russia's unwillingness to stick to the Minsk agreements," Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the representatives of the EU Political and Security Committee.
