"We expect
that by the end of this year European partners will ratify the EU - Ukraine Association
Agreement and a full-fledged free trade area with the European Union will enter
into force on 1 January 2016," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has underlined at
a Government’s meeting on Wednesday 16
September.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has noted that today is a year since the
ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union, "and Ukraine
has being made gradual steps to implement this Agreement over a year."
"The Russian
Federation or any other country does not and will not have the right to our
sovereign decision on European integration. Despite
all warnings and intimidations from the northern neighbor in respect of the possible
introduction an embargo and further economic pressure on Ukraine, I clearly declare
that the Agreement will enter into force. Ukraine
is part of the European area, including economic one," the Prime Minister emphasised.
"We are prepared
for the introduction of an embargo by the Russian Federation and we will give a
decent response in case Russia doesn’t cancel its decision to introduce the
embargo," stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
He pointed out
that Ukrainian business is seeking for the EU markets for Ukrainian production
distribution due to the fact that Ukraine signed the Agreement: "And the
competitiveness of Ukrainian goods should develop."
"Anyone who wants to work with us on equal terms – you are welcome. Anyone who wants to work with us through intimidations and dictatorship – keep on destroying foreign products, we wish you success in this. You are good at this. You are not able to produce your own products, while destroying foreign ones," Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
