    “I believe that the Government, the President and the Parliament will fulfil the criteria which were agreed with the IMF to ensure our economic growth and financial stability,” stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk during a meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde on Sunday, September 6.

    Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted that the visit of Christine Lagarde to Kyiv was truly historic: “For the first time the IMF Managing Director has decided to make a trip to Ukraine, and this is the first time in history, when we have implemented everything we promised in our programs with the IMF”.

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Christine Lagarde for her endeavours to support Ukraine.

    Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that the Ukrainian Government is devoted to an idea “to make the country better, to stabilize the financial situation and to carry out real economic reforms”.

    “Together with the IMF, together with the President and the Government we have already taken serious steps to get back on the track of economic stabilization. We expected to have a gradual economic growth. But we understand that a number of global challenges has occurred as well”, said the Head of the Ukrainian Government.

    He stressed: “I want to be clear that the President and the Government are committed to build a really strong Ukraine. We expect the Ukrainian Parliament will support and enact laws necessary for to pursue the reform agenda”.

    “The future of the country is in question. I believe with joining efforts we will be able to make Ukraine a prosperous and powerful country in the EU,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk summed up.
