Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to all heads of regional state administrations: "We should have a dialogue similar to the dialog we have had in the last two months. I have travelled all over the country. We have held cluster meetings. And if you have any questions, just lift the handset and talk to the Prime Minister of Ukraine". He urged on Friday, September 4, at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

He appealed in particular to Chairman of Odessa regional state administration Micheil Saakashvili, noting: “I realize how hard it is for him. It's hard for all of us. And so, emotions, groundless accusations – they play into hands of those who are against reforms in the country, and only those who are against real change in Ukraine."

"Moreover, it is not appropriate for the former President to air such false accusations," said the Head of Government.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted that if he had not had an opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister, he could have appealed to him when the Prime Minister was visiting Odessa, "to come and raise really serious questions."

"I'm his first ally. He raised a question regarding the head of the state aviation administration – we, according to the procedure and law, fired the head of the state aviation administration. And I appreciate his position. He raised a question on the head of the customs – we have investigated it. He informed about a problem with the road (Odessa-Reni – ed.) – and a law has already been supported that envisages that 50% of revenues from the Odessa customs will be spent on the road", said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

At the same time, he stressed that there is "one "small" problem - there is no project of this road": "At the recent Cabinet’s meeting the Government instructed the head of the regional administration of Odessa without delay to complete the project of this road. This is the most important project in Odessa region. There are funds. And to build this road, it is necessary to complete the design in the shortest term".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk set successful examples of other regions: "I would like to emphasise we have already solved a problem on roads in Lviv and Kharkiv. And I appreciate the activity of the heads of regional state administrations of Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. They were directly involved in preparation of design and estimate documentation. And the roads are being built there, there are already ready dozens kilometers of roads. Regarding a road to Kharkiv - we have found UAH 50 million. And today the Infrastructure Minister informed me that we are starting the repair of a road in Chugujevo".

“And to wind up. Micheil (Saakashvili – ed.) must work. He will continue his work. I won’t respond to any personal accusations. It is not about personalities and not about emotions. We are talking about responsibility for the fate of the country. About my responsibility to Ukraine. About the responsibility of Micheil to Odessa residents. And here we are one force, united. Let’s do it together", stressed the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
