Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Throughout the year, Ukraine has pumped up 11 billion cubic meters of gas due to reverse supplies via Slovakia
Due to the launch of
reverse gas deliveries via Slovakia we could have managed to pump up about 11
billion cubic meters of gas, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
at a Gov’t meeting on Wednesday, September 2.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed
it had been a year since he and Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico had opened
the reverse deliveries of the blue fuel to Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of
Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Government of Slovakia and the European
partners.
The Head of
Government emphasized over the recent month gas volumes in the storages had
grown by 1.5 billion cubic meters and made up 14.5 billion cubic meters: “It is
insufficient to endure the heating season. To ensure the cold season flawless
passing we should accumulate 19 billion cubic meters of gas in our storages".
"Now the
Government is looking for additional financial resource to increase purchases
of gas," added Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
