"Either Russia accepts our offer or there won’t be better options for the Russian Federation. Those who were taking money from it were granted a political asylum in the Russian Federation. Let them call those criminals they provided shelter for and take money from them," said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk during a Gov’t meeting dedicated to results of its activities on Friday, August 28.

The Head of Government stressed that a recent decision on the debt restructuring for Ukraine "was welcomed by the entire civilized world: the International Monetary Fund, leadership of the European Union, leadership of the United States of America, Finance Ministers of G7, with the exception of only one country which is the Russian Federation".

He reminded that Russia hadn’t been a member of the Ad-Hoc Creditors' Committee and "yesterday it made a statement to get the whole amount of funds": "I can convey the following adviceto them: those who were taking money from them were granted a political asylum in the Russian Federation – let them call those criminals they provided shelter for and take money back from them. Or they could give them to us here, so that we could conduct proceedings concerning each one of them with pleasure, as they received funds and looted the funds belonging to the Ukrainian state".

"The default so much expected by our political opponents has failed to happen. Ukraine has done everything to ensure financial stability", summed up Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
