Prime Minister of Ukraine: New staff of State Border Guard Service will be selected following principle of selection to the National Police

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine adopted a decision to introduce an experiment following an example of forming the new Ukrainian national police. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced on Thursday during his trip to the Boryspil airport he made to get familiarized with the Strategy of reforming the border agency.

"In a number of Ukrainian airports at the first stage, we provide training and hire new staff of the State Border Service, wearing a new uniform, having a high salary, but those who require advanced knowledge, advanced training, and, what is of topmost importance, they will treat differently the citizens of our country", stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The Prime Minister was demonstrated the stages of upgrading the State Border Guard Service bodies and subdivisions under the project, as well as new uniform for the border guards.

Implementation of the new project, which has the slogan: "Serve, Protect, Help" will afford to overcome corruption among the staff and to enhance public confidence in the State Border Service.

The initiative is triggered in two airports: the Zhuliany and the Gostomel. "And we should seek funds for the Boryspil, as it is now the core hub with the largest passenger traffic", stressed the Head of Government.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed hope that "this system will spread throughout entire Ukraine".
