Arseniy Yatsenyuk urges officials not to impede sowing campaign

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, at a session of Government on Wednesday, appealed to Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food with a demand to fulfil the function of the state, which is to create conditions to facilitate free development of the agricultural business.

"The principal objective of officials is not to impede the sowing process. This is the first task for them, a significant one. And the second is to create appropriate conditions to ensure the function of the state to be fulfilled, that is to facilitate free development of agrarian business", stressed the Head of Government.

The Prime Minister enumerated principal tasks to successfully hold the autumn sowing campaign. "We now have a core issue which is, of course, fertilizers. This is number one", he said. Secondly, it is crucial to maintain the process of grain transportation. "The third is combustibles and lubricants", the Head of Government summed up.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized food balance of the state should be maintained to have sufficient inner resources to endure the winter and keep the situation with prices on the market under control".
