SFS launches process of joining Ukraine to WCO CTS
SFS Chairman Roman Nasirov has signed an Agreement with the World Customs Organization on the use of the WCO CTS Programme which is a cargo manifest risk assessment solution developed by the WCO to enable its Members to carry out international best practice cargo risk assessment to manage risk and facilitate trade and thus implement key parts of the WCO’s SAFE Framework of Standards and Kyoto Convention. From the WCO the Agreement was signed by Ray McDonagh, Head of Administration and Personnel.
The U.S. Government will
finance the implementation of this system for the
SFS within the framework of the export
control and border security program. Further
support of the system will be free
of charge.
This will allow the
SFS to get more precise, structured and unified preliminary
information about goods coming to
the seaports of Ukraine in
containers that will improve the
efficiency of risk management and, as
a consequence, facilitate and speed up customs
formalities in ports.
