Arseniy Yatsenyuk: The experience of volunteers should be transferred to the new police force, KORD and the National Guard
Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on soldiers of voluntary battalions to take
part in competitions to fill the posts of the new leaders of the National
Police and a special police force the KORD - sudden response corps. The Head of
Government said during a meeting with officers of the special patrol service units
of Interior Ministry Department of Ukraine on Friday, August 7.
He stressed that it
is hard to restore peace in Ukraine, as Russia does not abide by the Minsk
agreement: "The path to restore peace is only possible with help of strong
Armed Forces, strong National Guard, who will protect the country."
The Prime Minister
noted it is crucial to transfer "the incredible military experience and amazing
personal traits" to the brand new Ukrainian police officers, the National Guard,
the KORD: "You are now in need for the country to shape in Ukraine a new
law enforcement system, the strong National Guard and the strong Armed Forces.
Anyone who has this experience should translate it into new life."
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized
that a competition to hold offices of the new leaders of the National Police, the
KORD response corps is being set up.
