The Ministry of Defence discussed the practical implementation of joint Ukrainian-Norwegian projects

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration Mr. Ihor Dolgov held talks with Norwegian Ambassador to Ukraine Mr. Jon Elvedal Fredriksen.

The Norwegian delegation consisted of the representatives of the Norwegian Embassy to Ukraine, International Foundation for Social Adaptation, and Centre for Integrity in the Defence Sector of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.

The parties discussed the practical realization of the Project of corruption risks reduction in the personnel management system and the Project of professional retraining and social adaptation of servicemen and members of their families.

Mr. Ihor Dolgov remarked the active joint realization of the mentioned Projects by Norwegian and Ukrainian parties and pledged further fruitful cooperation. He stated the aim of the mentioned projects was to increase the efficient use of the financial resources and effective management within the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, contribute to social adaptation of the Ukrainian military, retired servicemen (reserve) because of rotation of the personnel and wounded servicemen, as well as psychological rehabilitation of servicemen.

Mr. Jon Elvedal Fredriksen reassured in readiness to develop comprehensive cooperation with Ukraine and spoke about successful realization of the similar project in the Baltic States, particularly, in the framework of NATO and OSCE.
