Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Heads of Donetsk and Luhansk Regional State Administrations

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko to examine the issues and submit to the Government draft decisions on additional social guarantees for public employees, local administrations and local self-government of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are operating in circumstances fraught with danger, as well as provision of compensations to citizens for destroyed housing.

The Prime Minister gave the corresponding orders following the meeting with head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi and head of Luhansk Regional State Administration Hennadii Moskal on Tuesday, 30 June.

The meetings discussed regular violations of the Minsk agreement by the Russia-led terrorists.

Hennadii Moskal informed the Head of the Government that the Russia-controlled terrorists, in addition to shelling positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carried out targeted attacks on infrastructure in the settlements of the region, houses, schools and other educational institutions. These actions are aimed at disrupting the electricity supply network, gas pipelines, water supply and, consequently, stopping the work of enterprises and destruction of settlements in general.

Pavlo Zhebrivskyi appealed to the Government with a proposal for additional social guarantees for public employees, local administrations and local self-government, working in circumstances fraught with danger.

The Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration urged the Cabinet of Ministers to consider an issue as to compensations to citizens whose housing was destroyed.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko to examine these issues and submit draft decisions to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with the invitation to a Government’s meeting of the Heads of Donetsk and Luhansk Regional State Administrations.
