Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Canadian philanthropist James Temerty, representatives of the Atlantic Council and Ukrainian Jewish Encounter Initiative
Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with well-known Canadian philanthropist James
Temerty and representatives of the Atlantic Council and Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter
initiative.
The PM highly
appreciated the outstanding efforts taken by James Temerty to support civil
society in Ukraine, as well as his strong decisive actions aimed at the
consolidation of the international community to protect the freedom and
independence of our country.
Mr. Temerty and
other participants noted the ordeals facing Ukraine, underlining the support
for reform policy being undertaken in our country.
Special attention was focused on the issues of preservation of national memory and, in particular, the matter regarding national and international preparations for the Babi Yar tragedy commemoration in 2016. The parties discussed cooperation in countering Russian propaganda, which is particularly dangerous part of the Kremlin's aggression against Ukraine, as well as the entire free world and civilized relations between states.
