Yurii Stets in OSCE: Together with World Community We Have to Uphold the Journalists' Right for Profession

June 15-16, on the invitation of OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic, the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets to participate in the Conference on Journalists’ Safety in Times of Conflict.

Leading experts in the field of media, representatives of international organizations and governments of European countries will discuss during two days of the conference the issue of safety of journalists, journalism ethics in highlighting conflicts, regulation of mass media operation in a state of conflict, as well as propaganda and information war.

"Given the numerous violations of journalists' rights in the annexed Crimea and on temporarily occupied Donbas territories, we have to apply all mechanisms including the cooperation with OSCE. Together with the international community we must secure the right of journalists to run their professional activity", Minster stated during his speech.

Following the results of the conference a list of recommendations will be made up to reflect the best practices of highlighting conflicts and wars.
