"We do everything for the Russian troops to get out of Ukraine’s
territory, while on the other Ukrainian territory, controlled by Ukraine, which

gradually fill the budget and raise social standards for Ukrainians", urged

first investment conference in the United States. The Prime Minister informed that this investment conference is expected
to gather about 150 leaders of major U.S. companies. Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the Minister of Economy of Ukraine
Aivaras Abromavicius "to ensure holding the investment conference at an
appropriate level". Moreover, participating in the investment conference will be Chairman
of the State Property Fund of Ukraine to present the privatization plan:
"Once again insist on a transparent privatization of certain objects to
be held - open, competitive, when, on the one hand, we will attract funding
of foreign investors and on the other - will provide an opportunity for the
international investors to convince that the rules have changed within the
country, that privatization tenders are organized not to satisfy Ukrainian
oligarchs, but to satisfy real foreign companies that are willing to invest
money, promote the development of the Ukrainian economy and create new
jobs." The Prime Minister said that the conference will also be attended by Chairman
of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine to familiarize with the upgrade plan
"for both the fiscal service and the tax system as a whole." According to Arseniy Yatsenyuk, during the conference a plan of tax
changes in the energy sector of the country will also be presented: "A strategic
goal of the country to get rid of energy dependence through the decade. Those
complex reforms, including the tariff forming, those we pursue today in the
country have a single task – to ensure the country being a completely energy
independent state, having its own gas and oil, consuming less energy
resources, having introduced energy efficiency and, thus, reducing the bills
for Ukraine’s population for housing and communal services and increasing its
own production and energy independence of the country". Apart from that, Arseniy Yatsenyuk promised to invite leaders of a
number of Ukrainian state-owned companies and private sector representatives to
participate in the investment conference. |
